Broken pieces of sesame senbei are soaked in a special soy sauce to ensure that flavor is absorbed in every nook and cranny. The sauce is made with soy sauce from Yagisawa Shoten in Iwate Prefecture and Iwate hops are added as a “secret” ingredient. The concentrated flavor of this senbei will linger long after you’ve eaten it.
